New look for LazyMask

LazyMask, one of the pioneering clipping path company in the industry, officially released its new website this week. They have kept the changes very minimal with the tutorials page being the highlight difference.

“I don't think there is a need to surprise our clients with an over-all change in the design. LazyMask is a brand and the website is a part of it,” Jane said in the interview.

LazyMask started with one tutorial on clipping path and now there will be new tutorials on photo editing each month that both beginners and advance users of photoshop will definitely relish at.

LazyMask has a reputable name for itself among its clients in Europe and the United States, having been providing volume image masking, photo restoration and image enhancing services since 2004.

LazyMask has its main office in Copenhagen Denmark with its production in Cebu, Philippines. Their customers stand to benefit from the innate artistic abilities of Filipino graphic artists as well as their English speaking skills.

“Now, LazyMask not only aims to offer quality graphic outsourcing services but we also aim to impart our knowledge and skills for those people who would want to learn photo editing” Kirk says.

Clipping Path Services - New Opportunity to Cut Significant Costs on Graphics

(CreativePro) - The recent trend of outsourcing has hit the graphic design industry, now this trend is also within the clipping path niche which can be a cost saver for many businesses that make use of any form of digital imaging.

Clipping Paths -- The New Outsourcing Craze in the Graphics Industry?

Among the many well known graphic outsourcing tasks there is everything from 3D/2D graphics to the entire design of a website. However, a new service which is in the current focus of design companies is the outsourcing of clipping paths. This new service simply outlines any images or photos needed for graphical production and allows the customer to place any background behind the actual object. This is often needed for catalogs, posters, brochures, websites, and many other forms of print or design.

For several flower services, LazyMask (a clipping path specialist), has become an essential asset in their production chain. According to Jens Brober the CEO of FloraGrafia, a flower marketing company, "LazyMask has cut costs significantly and saved me a lot of hours, which I otherwise would have spent on clipping paths rather than marketing".

Specialized Outsourcing Equals Lower Prices and Higher Quality

LazyMask chooses, as one of the few companies, to channel all its resources into meeting this clipping path need. The CEO of LazyMask says that "by specializing in this service, we can offer the best quality level in the industry as well as cost efficient prices. Our focus is in making customers not only realize that major costs can be saved, but also a lot of time."

So whether clipping paths are only a minor part of company costs, businesses should think again if those clipping path hours actually can be spent on more value driving objectives. This is an age where cutting costs and saving time are a core necessity to be successful in the business world.

Danish Company Offers Clipping Path Services

(PrintWeek) - Repro outsourcing has taken another step east with a new service from Danish firm LazyMask offering image masking, clipping and retouching in the Philippines.

The company, which has two staff in Copenhagen and 13 in Cebu City in the Philippines – and also provides colour restoration – claims to save around a third on costs of conventional graphic artists.

"Costs of graphic artists in the Philippines are up to 30% lower than those of European graphic artists," said LazyMask graphic sales and marketing consultant Lisa Petersen.

The company said that it offered an "easy-to-use uploading system, low prices and masking speed". Typical masking rates were £1.51 (€2.25) for a 10-minute job and £10.60 for an hour.

LazyMask was launched in July this year. Petersen said the Philippines was "an obvious choice when it came to graphics jobs."

"It is one of the biggest English-speaking countries in the world". He said the country's institutions, based on the US model, made it "simple to set up a business".

Cut significant costs on Clipping Path Services

Philippines: Graphic Outsourcing Spells Savings for Global Businesses

(Press Box) - With an image problem that spells “chaotic” and “corrupt”, the Philippines is certainly not the first that comes to mind when it comes to Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). India is known to be the top destination for that industry.

But businesses are finding great opportunities for cost savings by outsourcing in the Philippines, what with the country’s deep pool of English-speaking talents who can do the job of their Western counterparts by at least thirty percent less.

In the field of graphic outsourcing, companies like LazyMask are finding that the Philippines’ graphic artists are critical in helping it carve its own niche.

LazyMask is one of the few companies to channel most of its resources to outsourced clipping path or image masking jobs. A clipping path outlines any image or photo and allows LazyMask’s customers to place any background behind the actual object. Clipping paths are often needed for catalogs, posters, brochures, websites, and other forms of print or design. LazyMask’s unique selling point is its guaranteed delivery of finished images within 24 hours or less - for a certain number of images.

Jane founded LazyMask in Metro Cebu, the Philippines’ second largest metropolis. Cebu is home to other BPO firms, including those that operate as Print-On-Demand publishing firms, call centers, Search Engine Marketing firms, and web design houses.

LazyMask pooled its graphic artists from different backgrounds – most graduated from local universities with degrees in either Fine Arts or Information Technology. Others were self-taught in Adobe Photoshop. All, however, have professional experience and have, at any one time, worked for local advertising agencies, publishing firms and web design companies.

The quality of LazyMask’s work has so far been received with praises

Tracy A. Butler, Art Director of Augusta Magazine, says, "The quality as well as customer service we have received from LazyMask is excellent. The time we would have spent masking difficult items has now been added back to our production time.”

Augusta Magazine is a Georgia-based publication house which produces a city magazine, a monthly parent magazine as well as custom publications. Other happy customers include marketing firms in Europe, as well as professional photographers.

The quality of work by its graphic artists has gained for LazyMask a growing number of clients. Jane says she will be hiring more graphic artists to keep up with the demand. The Philippines’ image problems have not been an issue in business. In fact, Jane is launching LazyMovie, another outsourcing business aimed at the video editing industry. Like LazyMask, LazyMovie also offers specialty outsourcing solutions – this time, in rotoscoping and chroma keying.

Rotoscoping and chroma keying are techniques used in post-production to change the background of a moving subject, or to clean up dirt and wires.
